Travel Vaccines
Vaccines protect travellers from getting diseases abroad that may not normally be found in Canada. What vaccines do you need before your trip?
Step 1
You should be up to date on your publicly funded immunizations. We recommend downloading the free CANImmunize app, a digital vaccination record for Canadians. Please ensure you have submitted your immunization record to our team before your appointment.
Step 2
Depending on your destination, you may be at risk for a number of vaccine-preventable illnesses. Our practitioners will review your itinerary, medical history, planned activities, and other health concerns to determine which (if any) destination-specific vaccines and/or medications are required or recommended for you. Examples of vaccine-preventable travel-related diseases are:
- Yellow Fever
- Malaria Prophylaxis
- Dengue
- Zika
- Typhoid / Typhoid Fever
- Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B or TwinRix
- Meningococcal disease
- Cholera / Dukoral / Travellers Diarrhea
- Japanese Encephalitis
- Rabies
